It’s important for young players to practice fielding bunts at game speed. Many coaches just lay down a bump near home plate and watch while the infield makes the play. The problem with this is there is no runner sprinting to first and so the players don’t get a true perception of how important timing is. Make sure you have someone running from home to first base.
